About The Position

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction. Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Complete appropriate paperwork and reports. Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs. Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs. Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision. Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision. Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.

Requirements

1 year work experience in industrial maintenance
Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 365-day waiting period before you can reapply.
Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
