About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This posting is "Maintenance to Maintenance" and will not be opened to production at this time. New hires can bid after their first 90 days. Team members must have fewer than 5 attendance points. Team members with any suspension or written warnings on record within the last 12 months are not eligible to bid.

Requirements

  • Must be able and willing to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Must be able and willing to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance-related equipment.
  • Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Must be able and willing to lift, push, pull, and carry materials, parts, and equipment as required.
  • Must be able and willing to work in cold, wet, humid, noisy, and fast-paced production environments.
  • Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-in assignments as needed.
  • Team members must have fewer than 5 attendance points.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, machinery, and company assets.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Inspect equipment and systems to identify potential problems and ensure safe, reliable operation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and required documentation.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, quality assurance, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Communicate equipment issues and repair status with supervisors, production personnel, and maintenance team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
