About The Position

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining plant equipment to supply maximum available uptime for production, quality and yields, while ensuring the safest work environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding of maintenance continuous improvement processes, accurate record keeping utilizing the plants CMMS, and reviewing proper staffing levels. This position works 6:00am – 6:00pm on a rotating schedule. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Requirements

5-year work experience in Maintenance/Refrigeration.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
No more than four (4) attendance points at the time of job posting, in the last six (6) months.
No written warning at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months.
No suspensions at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months.

Responsibilities

Assist the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department.
Ensure the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintain a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Ability to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery, and ability to modify equipment for improved easier PMs, quicker change overs.
This position also requires trouble shooting of various mechanical issues in an industrial setting.
Ability to fill out required daily documentation in the Tyson SAP software.
Must be willing to complete all required training, both hands on and computer based, as required for the job.
