This position assists the Supervisor in coordinating the department’s daily operations by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are clearly communicated to team members and carried out accurately and on time. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. This role is also responsible for planning and executing the Maintenance Training Program. Duties include coordinating and preparing training materials, manuals, and systems; leading classroom instruction on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and other maintenance‑related subjects; maintaining training aids and student records; and scheduling training classes. Additional responsibilities include conducting maintenance orientation for new team members; coordinating with vendors regarding training content and delivery; leading safety training initiatives within the maintenance department; administering and evaluating hands‑on training requirements; and performing other duties as assigned by the Manager. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
