About The Position

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This role involves responding to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, handling emergency situations, and performing preventive maintenance according to schedule. The position requires the ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, diagnose and repair equipment without supervision, and start up all equipment before production startup and shut down without supervision. The work environment can vary in temperature and humidity, and may be dusty. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing ladders, lifts, and scaffolds, and lifting up to 70lbs.

Requirements

  • 1 year work experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Complete work history or resume attached to application.
  • Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
  • Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
  • Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
  • The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
  • Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
  • Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
  • Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • Comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
  • Perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
  • Assist with other mechanics as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
