About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, and servicing QA facility and Contract Grower houses with minor repairs, projects and equipment. Other duties may be assigned. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must regularly be able to lift and/or move 30 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at times.
Must be able to read and write and perform simple math.

Nice To Haves

Previous maintenance experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

Repair and service equipment and modules for Tennessee Farms QA Facility (25%)
Maintain wash bay pressure washers and fuel levels in equipment. (10%)
Change disinfectant and soap drums in both wash bays. (10%)
General maintenance of all QA facility and grounds. (20%)
Help with farm projects such as Bird Proofing, Nest Grounding, and Other biosecurity/AW improvements. (25%)
Other Duties, Responsibilities and Activities: These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Such as: assisting crew with vaccination or move process as needed, new team member training as needed, and on call as needed. (10%)
