About The Position

The primary function of this position is to assist the Facility Crew chief with maintenance and housekeeping associated with the Magnolia Terminal and Pipeline as well as filling open positions during the absence of the person normally assigned to that position. Filling in for various positions will involve nights and weekends as dictated by the situation. This person will be required to learn all the positions at the facility and will be responsible for covering vacations, call offs, medical leaves or any other event that would prevent the employee normally responsible for the duties of his position from being able to perform his function. When not covering an open position, this person will be doing general maintenance and housekeeping that will include landscaping, painting, cleaning, working on equipment, assisting with pipeline task, working in the pipeline control room, completing the daily inventory records and any other task as assigned by the Facility Crew Chief. This person must complete all required training associated with the operation of the Magnolia facility. Must be willing and able to travel to other facilities to assist when necessary. Assist with required compliance related activities associated with the operation of the pipeline and document each activity on the approved record keeping forms. Follow established safety practices. Participate in required drills and inspections. Special projects as directed by the Facility Manager or Facility Crew Chief.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write and have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to complete required documentation and have computer skills.
  • Must have good communication skills to interact well with co-workers as well as outside parties.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to take direction and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Flexibility regarding schedule.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.

  • Complete all required training associated with the operation of the Magnolia facility.
  • Travel to other facilities to assist when necessary.
