Lead and direct the woodyard/mill general mechanical maintenance team to deliver results in the areas of safety, engagement, and reliability. This role involves demonstrating the ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly direct reports, ensuring jobs are completed timely and team members are cleaning up their areas. The position fosters an environment that continuously improves productivity through innovation to achieve exceptional performance from maintenance personnel and operators. It also focuses on improving maintenance workforce effectiveness by eliminating potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, equipment, and personnel. The role includes managing costs to budget and inputting into the budgeting process, establishing clear expectations for quality of work, and assisting/coordinating routine and outage work with planners and the Woodyard Area Process Manager. The individual will attend and actively participate in MWS, Scheduling, and Weekend Duty meetings, review PJSA’s and precision maintenance documents, and complete daily scheduling tasks. Ensuring all repairs are completed properly by requiring crews to utilize precision practices and high-quality workmanship, and ensuring all work history documentation in SAP-PM is completed are key responsibilities. A commitment and ownership to precision maintenance and reliability for the area, and supporting/driving area reliability systems (RCFA, PM/PdM, Precision Maintenance, etc.) are also crucial.
