Requirements

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience in cutting, fitting and assembling metal components, including using plasma cutters or oxy-acetylene torches
  • Expert knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools like tape measures, calipers and gauges to check tolerances
  • Electrical knowledge including but not limited to single phase 120V, three phase 480V, and 24VDC power systems
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times

Responsibilities

  • Conducting regular inspections
  • Performing preventive maintenance
  • Addressing any equipment issues to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborating closely with other team members
  • Reporting on maintenance tasks
  • Participating in innovative problem-solving discussions
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting machinery
  • Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, grinders, mixers, mills, elevators, and packaging systems
  • Daily checks of motors, bearings, chains and belts on conveyors
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs
  • Maintain facility systems including boilers, compressors, HVAC, and utilities as required
  • Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues
  • Work closely with production teams to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements
