About The Position

This role involves taking full responsibility for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of an F&F B unit. The engineer will be fully in charge of the assigned unit, performing regular cleaning and inventory checks. They will track and report on equipment and system repair status, and collaborate with fellow engineers on repairs, inventory, and updates. The position also includes providing guidance to other maintenance engineers, solving broadcast issues as they arise, and ensuring client needs are met. Flexibility and availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends, are required, along with extensive national travel. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Technical or B.S./Electronics field or Engineering preferred, however various combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience working in television production technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
  • Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in mobile television facilities.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in technical aspects of on-site television production with progressive broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and be willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
  • Ability to travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Take on full responsibility for setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of an F&F B unit.
  • Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit.
  • Track and report equipment and system repair and maintenance status.
  • Work with fellow engineers in the repair and maintenance of mobile unit ensuring follow through on repairs, inventory, and updates.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance engineers.
  • Solve broadcast issues as they come up.
  • Meet the client's needs/requests.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
