About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting in engineering tasks, conducting routine equipment inspections and maintenance, diagnosing technical issues under direct guidance, documenting maintenance activities, contributing to process optimization, and prioritizing safety protocols to ensure efficient operations and a secure working environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, pharma, or similar)
  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics (or equivalent technical training)
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across electro-mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Understand regulated environments and have experience working within quality systems including adherence to documentation practices, change control, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborative, safety-focused professional who communicates effectively across teams, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains a strong commitment to product quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures by performing advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on electro-mechanical systems, identifying root causes, and implementing timely corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
  • Execute and support maintenance activities including disassembly, repair, calibration, and reassembly of equipment using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation by recording inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance in systems such as SAP PM, enabling data-driven decisions, equipment history tracking, and continuous reliability improvements.
  • Support critical utility systems by operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting ultrapure water generation and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive reliability and continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, assisting in process optimization initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance equipment performance, safety, and overall operational efficiency.
