Maintenance Engineer (3rd Shift)
About The Position
Support maintenance of & upgrades to production & packaging equipment. This role is for the 3rd shift, Monday-Friday from 10:45pm-7:15am and some weekends if needed. The Maintenance Engineer will support the installation and maintenance of production & packaging equipment, perform and support mechanics in performing routine equipment maintenance, and troubleshoot on-site repairs. They will also provide technical support & training for maintenance personnel and equipment operators, lead equipment & process continuous improvement projects, and ensure that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime. Additionally, the role involves leading and/or assisting with developing & implementing OpEx initiatives, leading maintenance/Ops Techs in setting-up, reviewing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance procedures, practices & equipment, writing, leading & participating in Quality investigations, and supporting equipment qualification. Adherence to all safety & cGMP regulations & procedures is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of packaging and/or production experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), OSHA and related federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of and experience with electrical troubleshooting
- Proven work experience as a maintenance engineer or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
- Working knowledge of automation & controls – hardware and software
- Ability to read system schematics
- Advanced troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safety and equipment procedures
- Ability to work with heavy equipment
- Proficient in English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Proficient at communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
