About The Position

Maintenance Engineers are responsible for implementation and support of various maintenance programs; problem identification followed by investigation, evaluation, and resolution; evaluating and implementing industry operating experience; and providing general engineering and technical support to the maintenance teams as needed. The Maintenance Engineers provide support through monitoring of plant equipment and resolution of day-to-day problems during work activities.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is required.
  • Technical writing ability, computer knowledge, good communication skills, and good presentation skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school or PE license is preferred. Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is preferred.
  • Knowledge of air-operated and motor-operated valves preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding and ASME code is preferred.
  • An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices, to make timely decisions to support the maintenance teams.
  • Project oversight or supervisory experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support and direction for various maintenance activities.
  • Assist with resolution of emergent issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper product supply or services.
  • Support and participate in cross-functional efforts with other departments to resolve operation and equipment issues
  • Act as a project manager.
  • Support the Corrective Action Program.
  • Resolve problems encountered by Craft during day-to-day work activities.
  • Coordinate with System Engineering and off-site Engineering to resolve equipment problems that are the result of design issues.
  • Implement and support various programs.
  • Support the Emergency Response Organization.
