About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance person, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team at a Maintenance Engineer! This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the hotel. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. Requirements

  • Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort
  • Knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • An engaging and welcoming personality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance and repairs of building and facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pool systems.
  • Conducts general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, motors, and related equipment.
  • Performs repairs and maintenance on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, sanitary systems, and water-related equipment.
  • Completes general carpentry and cosmetic repairs including woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and other interior/exterior surfaces.
  • Performs routine mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, pool filtration systems, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Maintains hotel swimming pool areas, including routine inspections, cleaning, testing and balancing pool chemicals, monitoring water quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards.
  • Keeps records as required by company policies and procedures, including maintenance logs, pool chemical logs, and documentation of completed tasks.
  • Prepares and submits reports and logs as requested by supervisors in a timely manner.
