About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906, is a successful bakery in the Pacific Northwest producing a variety of baked products. With over 4,000 employees and distribution across several western states, Franz is seeking Bakery Maintenance Engineers to join their fast-paced team. These engineers will perform assigned repairs and maintenance on bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities in an orderly, timely, and cost-conscious manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in similar maintenance of production line equipment and facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all bakery equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions, performing tasks within rigid time frames to maximize product output.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with federal and state requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
• Prepare specific and accurate parts request forms.
• Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with urgency and ownership.
• Provide emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Perform duties in all areas within the maintenance department.
• Provide technical assistance and information to the Engineering management team.
• Recognize work to be accomplished and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
• Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
