A warm smile says welcome home. Since 1900, The Lenox has been a beloved Back Bay landmark—an independent hotel known for its character, creativity, and genuine hospitality. We empower our team to surprise and delight guests in thoughtful, memorable ways. For many travelers, The Lenox becomes their home in Boston, and our team is at the heart of that experience. Whether it’s a leak in a guest room, or a power outage in the lobby, the Engineering Department must always be on their toes! A Lenox Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs to the hotel common areas, meeting spaces, restaurants, bars, fitness center and hotel guestrooms. The Engineer is also responsible for overseeing and maintaining all hotel mechanical equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) While the Engineer is responsible for general upkeep of the property, they must also be flexible and able to solve problems on a regular basis. It is important to have good communication skills, and knowledge of equipment and systems. Maintenance Engineers must not only like to work with their hands but also like to work with people! Engineers will frequently interact with hotel guests, assist with hotel vendors and will collaborate with several departments including the front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping. Maintenance Engineers may work a variety of shifts, including days, nights weekends and holidays. A flexible schedule is required. Candidates with availability to work 3pm-11pm are encouraged to apply.
