About The Position

Maintenance Engineers are responsible for the implementation and support of various maintenance programs. This includes problem identification, investigation, evaluation, and resolution. They also evaluate and implement industry operating experience and provide general engineering and technical support to maintenance teams. The role involves monitoring plant equipment and resolving day-to-day problems during work activities.

Requirements

• 2 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is required.
• Technical writing ability, computer knowledge, good communication skills, and good presentation skills are required.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school or PE license is preferred. Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is preferred.
• Knowledge of air-operated and motor-operated valves preferred.
• Knowledge of welding and ASME code is preferred.
• An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices, to make timely decisions to support the maintenance teams.
• Project oversight or supervisory experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and direction for various maintenance activities.
• Assist with resolution of emergent issues.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper product supply or services.
• Support and participate in cross-functional efforts with other departments to resolve operation and equipment issues.
• Act as a project manager.
• Support the Corrective Action Program.
• Resolve problems encountered by Craft during day-to-day work activities.
• Coordinate with System Engineering and off-site Engineering to resolve equipment problems that are the result of design issues.
• Implement and support various programs.
• Support the Emergency Response Organization.
