About The Position

Join Hilton Grand Vacations’ Four Diamond oceanfront resort on Hilton Head Island as a Maintenance Engineer. The position supports guest and owner experiences through property engineering, leadership, and preventative and reactive maintenance. It involves interacting with guests to resolve engineering issues and maintaining guestroom and public-space equipment, fixtures, appliances, and tools. The role also requires communication with the leadership team.

Requirements

At least 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
Ability to follow basic written and verbal directions.
Ability to climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40 feet.
Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds and lift or carry up to 50 pounds; ability to grasp, stoop, and reach overhead.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Current state driver's license.

Responsibilities

Interact with guests to resolve engineering problems.
Troubleshoot and repair basic appliances and air-conditioning controls.
Perform drywall, painting and staining, and wall-vinyl repairs.
Repair plumbing fixtures, clean drains, change filters, and replace faulty plumbing components.
Maintain guestroom and public-space equipment and replace caulk.
Repair tile and grout, doors, locking mechanisms, and hinges.
Inspect rooms for pest intrusion and inspect or replace cosmetic appliance components.
Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and remote-control batteries.
Repair closet and drapery tracks; replace furniture; stain furniture and repair nicks and gouges.
Unclog toilets and sinks, touch up paint, and glue peeling wallpaper.
Implement scheduled preventative maintenance.
Maintain the accurate functioning of equipment and tools.
Establish clear communication with the leadership team.
