Requirements

  • Three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
  • One year of work experience in the core level of the job family or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct root cause analyses.
  • Develop repair strategies.
  • Oversee projects.
  • Manage budgets.
  • Ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate to improve efficiency and operational integrity.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical/electrical equipment to include but not limited to boilers, emergency generators, HVAC and related equipment in a quality and timely manner.
  • Perform periodic tests per codes and requirements.
  • Ensure that all essential equipment is in good working order; diagnosis equipment for repairs to keep downtime at a minimum.
  • Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of required equipment.
  • Maintain tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition; keeps equipment rooms clean and in good order.
  • Coordinate with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders.
  • Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks to include the skilled trades as required (e.g., carpentry, painting, plumbing).
  • Assist in maintaining the outside areas and grounds, as necessary.
  • Assemble/install furniture and may perform lock-smith tasks.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Complete paperwork for assigned equipment and logs information as necessary.
  • Document repairs and orders made for parts and materials.
  • File all necessary paperwork.
  • Test and evaluate equipment prior to putting into service.
  • Log results and tag devices.
  • Deliver or install equipment once evaluated as being in working order.
  • Order and receive parts and materials to make necessary repairs on related equipment.
  • Ensure the correct stock levels/parts and materials are ordered.
