About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of the hotel’s physical facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing guest issues, making structural repairs, conducting inspections, and maintaining logs of all work performed. The position requires providing the highest quality of service to guests at all times and performing other duties as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort preferred
Knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) a must
Availability to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC system maintenance.
Address guest room issues and respond to maintenance requests.
Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces paster, plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim. Cut and lay flooring.
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems.
Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests. Follow work order procedures.
Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.
