About The Position

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer Level II - 1st Class to join their Plant Services department. This role is a 1.0 FTE position with a work schedule that rotates through three shifts (7am-3pm, 3-11pm, 11pm-7am) seven days a week. Requirements

• Vocational education in a maintenance-related field or 3 years maintenance related experience.
• Minimum of State of Minnesota "Special Boiler Operating License".
• Minimum of a State of Minnesota "2B" Boiler Operating license or obtain within 12 months.
• Appropriate, valid driver's license and ability to be covered by the GICH Insurance policy.
• Good mechanical aptitude, ability and knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as "shift engineer" on all operating boilers and installed hospital equipment.
• Respond to in-house problems in support of the hospital and patients.
• Perform maintenance and repair of all hospital equipment (except Bio-medical) in accordance with established guidelines.
• Be responsible for Grounds Maintenance and Security as directed.
• Provide supervision and training of Level I, Base, and Maintenance Assistant personnel.
• May be required to work outside in inclement weather (i.e., extreme heat and cold).
