About The Position

This position is responsible for the general maintenance of all Tribal entities’ indoor and outdoor premises. The role works with all departments on an as-needed basis and collaborates with all Engineering personnel. The position also strives to deliver a Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members, embodying a Service Promise where every person and detail matters. The Maintenance Engineer I will maintain the operating condition of Tribal entities’ buildings and equipment, complete simple repairs, and use knowledge of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, and plumbing. This role aids in planning tribal entities’ projects, remodeling, and expansions, and monitors jobs completed by outside contractors. Ground maintenance is also a responsibility. The position requires technical knowledge of construction and maintenance work, the ability to use cost-estimating methods, and adherence to safety guidelines, working closely with the Safety Coordinator to ensure OSHA compliance. It also ensures compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS). The employee presents a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors and assists them as required. All safety policies and procedures must be followed, and attendance at scheduled safety meetings and training is mandatory. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience and / or training.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
