The Maintenance Engineering Tech is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to work orders, and assists with repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The position requires troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Overlooking the marina and the Intracoastal Waterway, The Ben features sophisticated event spaces, luxury accommodations, rooftop experiences at Spruzzo, elevated dining at Proper Grit, and high-volume guest operations that demand exceptional attention to detail and facility performance. Serve as a dedicated ambassador of the hotel’s luxury experience by maintaining constant communication with the central base station through a portable radio and responding swiftly to engineering service calls with professionalism and discretion. Anticipate and prioritize guest needs, ensuring every request is handled with urgency, care, and exceptional attention to detail. Preserve the comfort, elegance, and seamless operation of the property by maintaining all hotel equipment and facilities to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Perform all responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician I while bringing advanced expertise in specialized trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC. Approach every task with craftsmanship and precision, contributing to a refined, safe, and uninterrupted guest experience that reflects the excellence and sophistication of a luxury hospitality environment. Expected to work evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, maintaining a strong presence throughout peak guest service hours while ensuring operational excellence across the property.
