About The Position

Perform upkeep within building and throughout property, including outside areas. This includes minor electrical repairs, maintaining the HVAC system, and maintaining plumbing, water, and sewage systems. The role also involves carpentry duties and assisting with grounds maintenance such as sod laying, moving, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking. Additionally, the position assists with winter snow removal, including shoveling, plowing, sanding, and salting sidewalks and parking areas. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with minor electrical, basic plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Must possess valid Minnesota Drivers License. (Applicants with an out of state license must obtain a Minnesota license within 30 days of hire.)
• Boiler license and pool certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minor electrical skills.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of hand tools, saws and drills.
• Cement finishing experience.
• Painting and wood finishing experience.
• Rubber roofing experience helpful.
• Able to learn basic HVAC equipment and computer.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
• Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
