Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Advanced electrical ability.
- Advanced programming skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
Nice To Haves
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Testing and visually inspecting machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshooting machinery and equipment.
- Dismantling of defective machines and equipment and installation of new or repaired parts.
- Cleaning and/or lubricating of shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installing and repairing of electrical apparatus as determined by training and skill set of technician.
- Performing advanced electrical work, facility repairs, hydraulic, pneumatic and pump repairs and maintenance, basic to advanced HVAC, masonry, carpentry and plumbing, and basic to advanced PLC.
- Following plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's.
- Following plant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Knowing emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
- Wearing and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Understanding and identifying Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Informing supervisors of safety issues; reporting any workplace injury or incident immediately.
