About The Position

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska is a large wet pet food manufacturing facility that produces over one thousand tons of pet food per day for renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. We are committed to environmental care through water conservation, renewable electricity investment, and zero waste for disposal. The city of Lincoln offers convenience to many associates with its city amenities, while Crete provides a shorter commute to our thriving factory. A $5000 Sign-on Bonus is offered. Hourly pay starts at $30.46 with potential increases up to $38.02 through additional training and certifications. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. Safety is paramount, and you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. Our electricians perform both predictive and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of electrician experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
  • Effectively use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter, and megger
  • Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms
  • Installation of sensors
  • Install, fine-tune, and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems
  • Service and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.
