About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician performs electrical and some mechanical installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on processing equipment and robotic systems. The position maintains and troubleshoots production and non-production equipment, including presses, grinders, polishers, lathes, mills, and lift trucks. It reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with overtime very rare.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, schematics, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
• Ability to lift, lower, bend, reach, grasp, carry, slide, move, and identify parts, supplies, and tools.
• May need to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

• Iowa electrical license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and some mechanical installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of processing equipment and robotic systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies.
• Inspect systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or defects.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, NFPA 70E electrical safety rules, and local or National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production and non-production equipment, including presses, grinders, polishers, lathes, mills, and lift trucks.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, schematics, and troubleshooting guides, and read precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
• Assist in the design of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Accept other reasonable duties, positions, functions, and responsibilities as required.
