About The Position
Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers. This position reports directly to Inovata Foods’ Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, installing, testing, and repairing electrical or mechanical components and equipment for production operation.
- Optimizing equipment safety and efficiency by participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
- Following proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during electrical and mechanical work to ensure workplace safety.
- Adhering to all GMPs and HACCP guidelines.
- Working within all company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation.
- Promptly reporting equipment failures and breakdowns to lead hands.
- Evaluating causes for failures and/or breakdowns and suggesting preventive/corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Properly and accurately filling in all related departmental paperwork and documents.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and such.
- Conducting preventive maintenance programs and keeping maintenance records up to date.
- Performing emergency repairs and addressing breakdowns, equipment failures, and production interruptions.
- Participating in training programs regarding equipment operation, safety and maintenance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to schedule maintenance for better equipment performance and to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems related to equipment performance and operation to minimize downtime.
- Installing, examining, replacing, or repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical equipment and components.
- Providing mentorship to apprentices, developing their skills in troubleshooting and repair procedures.
