About The Position

The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Electrician located in Nampa, ID. We are the country’s premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients. This position maintains production equipment and the working facility to enable teams to safely manufacture high quality products in an efficient, timely and complete manner.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electricians License issued by the state of Idaho
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Actively participates in all team meetings and events
  • Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company
  • Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc.
  • Able to perform full range of body movements, such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Able to perform activities requiring repetitive motions
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Able to tolerate an environment where sawdust particles are present
  • Ability to provide and receive communication in an environment with a high level of ambient noise
  • Possesses strong visual acuity
  • Sitting at workstation approximately 5 percent of work time
  • Standing and walking approximately 95 percent of work time
  • Must be able to travel between plant and office locations

Nice To Haves

  • 5-10 years Manufacturing/Industrial Automation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Complete a variety of projects as assigned
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC issues
  • Utilize basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and other maintenance-related equipment
  • Read machine drawings and control schematics
  • Apply electrical, electronic, and PLC experience
  • Adhere to all safety requirements
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing activities
  • Other duties as assigned
