About The Position

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. The Maintenance Controls/Electrician performs repairs and troubleshooting on controls, lasers, servos, photo eyes, and all sensors. This role offers a pay rate of $35.50 plus a shift premium and overtime pay for hours worked over 40.

Requirements

Siemens controls
3 -5 years’ experience working on Controls-based equipment
Electrical experience
Good working knowledge of PLC controls
Proximity Switches
Troubleshooting
Servos
Lasers
Photo Eye Sensors
Experience in automated equipment

Nice To Haves

Plastic injection molding or stamping machinery experience a definite asset
Welding ticket a definite asset

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting injection molding machines, stamping and assembly presses
Fixing any issues with proximity switches, photo eyes, sensors, lasers, servos, and all press side equipment
Working on Engel and Schuler presses
Reading and interpreting diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Will be required to create adequate sketches if none are available from other sources.
Testing equipment after making necessary adjustments, and/or repairing or replacing defective parts or systems.
Setting up and using machine tools to produce/modify necessary components.
Carrying out regular inspections and performing designated preventative maintenance procedures to utilities, services, buildings, and machinery as directed.
Performing repairs and/or modifications to buildings and structures as required.
