We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Brampton location. The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems through scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. The hourly wage rate is: $46.06

Requirements

  • Certified Licensed Industrial Electrical/Electronics technician - 442A
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, wiring, legislated standards
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the paper and packaging industry would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns using manuals and schematic diagrams
  • Support the installation of new production lines and equipment
  • Carry out equipment repairs using hand tools and electrical test equipment
  • Installation, troubleshooting and programming PLCs and frequency drives
  • Completion of work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Prepare electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Make recommendations as necessary for improvements
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops and reviewing technical publications
  • Maintain the site ESA logbook
  • Follow all Health and safety, ISO and HACCP requirements and procedures
  • Follow the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
