About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installation of electrical equipment including automation systems used in sheet metal processing and fabrications operations. This role supports continuous production by ensuring plant electrical equipment, distribution, and control circuits operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3–7 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing facility.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology preferred.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication processes.
PLC programming experience.
Experience with robotic systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and limited mechanical systems, including diagnosing and resolving electrical and controls related issues.
Perform electrical work in accordance with OSHA and plant safety standards.
Assist with startup, commissioning, and testing of new or upgraded equipment.
Interpret electrical schematics and control system documentation.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.
Identify repeat failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment and process failures.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve safety and productivity.
Support electrical projects, including upgrades and retrofits.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and updates in the CMMS.
Ensure compliance with all plant safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.
