About The Position

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for its Roofing business. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings, whether mechanical, electrical, or PLC controlled. Various shifts are available. This role will play a key part in performing preventative maintenance. A shift differential is paid (10% for 12-hour day shift and 20% for 12-hour night shift).

Requirements

High School Degree
Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts
5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
Understanding of PLC controlled production lines
Experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2", (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.)
Experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment.
Extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Run EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT from 1/2" to 2", including kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.
Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
Troubleshoot PLC Controlled Equipment.
Work with AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
Work independently and professionally, completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books.
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with everyday thoughts for Environment, Health and safety.
