About The Position

Responsibilities: Motivation, i.e., helping Soundwich succeed within Job Classification Responsibilities Identify potential Safety & Health and Environmental hazards and take necessary actions to protect Employee Safety & Health and the Environment Visually inspect and electrically test machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with Supervisor or other Maintenance Employees to diagnose problem or repair machine Identify defective electrical components and repairs and/or wires in new parts Understand electrical fundamentals and how to apply them Able to read electrical schematics and use them to troubleshoot equipment Basic PLC knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot using the PLC programs Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code and standard electrical construction practices Effective use of ERP system to order parts and record work Authorized Powered Industrial Truck Operator Authorized Crane Operator Clair-based ONLY: Troubleshoot and perform preventive/reactive maintenance on Laser Cutter Understand and follow all Company Procedures pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-related questions or suggestions, and how initiate continual improvements Other tasks deemed by Soundwich Management to be in the best interest of Soundwich and our Customers Requirements: Strong electrical trouble-shooting skills Good knowledge of panel-building and integration, single-phase and 3-phase motor controls and installation, press controls, resistance welders, and miscellaneous equipment PLC trouble-shooting Ability to run conduit neatly Ability to perform electrical PMs Willing to do mechanical work as needed Ability to draw and read electrical schematics, and use them to troubleshoot electrical problems Interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics a plus Strong electrical aptitude and math skills Ability to determine conduit fills, wire sizes, etc. Knowledge of PLEX ERP a plus Valid Driver’s License Minimum Language Skills: English Education: Journeyman Electrician/Technician or equivalent 5+ years related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience

Requirements

Strong electrical trouble-shooting skills
Good knowledge of panel-building and integration, single-phase and 3-phase motor controls and installation, press controls, resistance welders, and miscellaneous equipment
PLC trouble-shooting
Ability to run conduit neatly
Ability to perform electrical PMs
Willing to do mechanical work as needed
Ability to draw and read electrical schematics, and use them to troubleshoot electrical problems
Strong electrical aptitude and math skills
Ability to determine conduit fills, wire sizes, etc.
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum Language Skills: English
Journeyman Electrician/Technician or equivalent
5+ years related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

Interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics a plus
Knowledge of PLEX ERP a plus
