About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and wiring all electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage within the plant or assigned areas. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work safely and efficiently in an industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Work in a Safe manner, follow Safety rules and documents, wear required PPE.
  • Possess working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s & AC/DC Drives.
  • Control and measuring devices, HMI’s, hydraulic systems, and Electrical test equipment.
  • Must be proficient in using PLC and drive software and maintain software as far as upgrades and Rockwell activations.
  • Ability to run electrical circuits and panels.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Electrical testing instruments
  • Power hand tools
  • Soldering equipment
  • Pipe benders and threading, safety devices, miscellaneous hand tools
  • Lift trucks, cranes, man lifts.
  • All types and sizes of AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starter, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, PLC logic and controls, conduit and fittings, wire and cable, hardware, insulation, solder, repair and replacement parts, etc.
  • Walking or standing 80% of the shift
  • Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required.
  • Work in hot and cold environments
  • Work in an Industrial Mill Environment
  • Must be able to operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts and cranes
  • Ability to organize material on machines as scheduled
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed
  • Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Siemen’s PLC’s & Drives experience a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
