About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Facilities team, responsible for locations throughout the Sunbury, PA area. The role involves adhering to company policies and procedures, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, and completing daily work assignments. The technician will also be responsible for on-call emergency maintenance, using power tools safely, and performing various repairs and maintenance tasks including:
- Desk and furniture repair
- Surface preparation and paint
- Wall and ceiling tile repair
- Electrical repairs
- Roof repairs
- HVAC system repairs and maintenance
- Parking lot repair and maintenance
- Plumbing repair and maintenance
- Lock repairs
- Renovations and upgrades to the physical plant
- General home and building maintenance
- Performing site walkthrough inspections, reporting, and addressing repairs in a timely manner.
- Completing assigned projects independently or with others.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a verifiable High school diploma/G.E.D.
• Must have 3 years of experience.
• Must have skills and knowledge in all phases of maintenance repairs, carpentry, light electric, plumbing, drywall and spackle repair, painting would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.
• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager
• Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work.
• Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor.
• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.
• Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.
• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.
• Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Proficient performing electrical repairs.
• Proficient performing roof repairs
• Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance

• Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant.
• Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.
• Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.
