This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment within the plant. This includes the installation of new or modified equipment, troubleshooting various systems, and ensuring plant facilities meet safety requirements. The position also involves performing mechanical preventive maintenance, managing parts supply, and assisting other trades. Additionally, the role requires performing construction, pipe-fitting, and welding tasks, as well as maintaining a clean and orderly work area and adhering to safety rules. The job involves working in machinery pits, high conveyor areas, and in intense heat within the casting area. Essential duties include inspecting, repairing, and overhauling mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor control centers, and conveyor systems. Basic machine shop duties such as grinding, drilling, metal fabrication, welding, and machining are also part of the role. The electrician will conduct basic installation, maintenance, and modification on equipment and control systems, and perform troubleshooting and repair of motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives, and sub-electrical panels using diagnostic tools. The position requires availability for rotating on-call duty during weekends for emergency situations and conducting electrical repairs using 3-phase electricity.
