About The Position

This role operates on a night shift on a 12-hour schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. The shift schedule could change based on plant operational needs with advanced appropriate notice. The position requires the willingness to work overtime and weekends, which may be needed during busy periods. The Maintenance Electrician will maintain production equipment, follow all safety rules and practices, and perform preventive maintenance activities. This includes lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. Emergency/breakdown maintenance will be performed as necessary to support plant operations. The role involves accurately using measurement and test equipment, and performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed. This includes installing wire and conduit for new and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery. Replacing faulty electrical components like relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices (proximity switches, timers, scanners, photo electric devices) is also a key responsibility. The position requires diagnosing and repairing/replacing faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards, and troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Troubleshooting drives (AC and DC), reading electrical block diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder logic are essential. Maintaining clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks are expected. Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork is required. The role involves troubleshooting and problem-solving, being self-motivated, and following through to completion with assigned responsibilities. Teamwork with other associates is important, and other duties as assigned by supervision will be performed.
