Maintenance Electrician Specialist
About The Position
This role involves the layout, installation, and maintenance of a variety of industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure. The specialist will establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire complicated circuits. Responsibilities include making repairs that involve disassembling units and troubleshooting electrical control circuits, diagnosing issues to replace or repair parts, and making necessary adjustments. The position requires inspecting machinery to ensure proper operation, overseeing the electrical project work, and troubleshooting and modifying PLC programs. The specialist will also be responsible for ordering parts, writing reports, performing minor welding, and executing all skills required of other specialists.
Requirements
- Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
- Understands national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
- Must be able to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
- Moderate physical effort; frequently moving lightweight material in difficult work positions.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
- Ability to perform general air conditioning service work.
- Able and willing to attend school/seminars of specialized trade.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Requires 5 years experience in general maintenance with 3 years being Electrical specific.

- Performs all minor welding.
- Performs all other skills required of other specialists.
