About The Position

AGI is a global food-based infrastructure company publicly traded in Canada. With over 3,800 employees and over 30 global manufacturing brands, AGI is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain and feed systems and an expanding platform for food processing facilities. This role involves installing and maintaining electrical control systems, as well as installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with electrical controls and maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (or equivalent of education and experience)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial controls
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Familiarity with automated equipment and production machinery
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and electrical safety regulations
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR (requested annually) if operating mobile equipment or company vehicles.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Intermediate – Advanced computer skills required to complete/interpret technical work instructions, company training and HRIS requirements.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology preferred
  • Certified electrician or work equivalent – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, PLC, and control system issues to minimize downtime
  • Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and upgrades
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Maintain and repair motors, drives, sensors, relays, and other industrial components
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in automated systems and production lines
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Work with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately
