Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting the functions of Maintenance, ME, Tool and Die Group, Lean Facilitation, Maintenance, and Facilities. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to handle unusual job events and deviate from accepted practice if needed. The technician must be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics, and manuals, and have worked on control devices, motors, PLCs, VFDs, and soft starts. Competence in adhering to safety protocols and procedures, and the ability to keep comprehensive records and inventory of job needs are essential. The position demands high attention to detail, experience in completing projects by identifying problems, designing solutions, building and implementation, including electrical installation of new equipment. A high level of mechanical aptitude and multi-talented abilities are necessary, along with good written communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and with company personnel and vendors is also required.
