About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical support across all phases of the operation. As a technical career role within Tyson Foods, Inc., it requires proficiency in multiple skill areas, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The role also requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate productively with all levels of management and operations.
Requirements
- Must be on Tyson Maintenance Level 8
- Competent in Windows-based programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to organize documents, use templates, and create simple queries.
- Proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance or able to become proficient.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree in Electronic Technology or a related technical field.
- Equivalent experience and training will be considered, including skilled trade apprenticeships, military technical training, vocational education, or other relevant technical experience.
- Technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience with basic microcomputer operations, microprocessor interfacing, PLC system configuration and hardware, relay-equivalent instructions, timers/counters, data manipulation, data communications, advanced programming commands, troubleshooting, application support, and program development.
- Skills or training in electronic motor drive technologies, including servo motors, encoders, tachometers, electronic and mechanical brakes and clutches, closed-loop systems, DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo, and stepper systems.
