About The Position

This position is the equivalent of a “Tradesperson” and performs job responsibilities as designated by the department supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor will determine the employee’s appropriate job level & position based on the job description competencies. The Maintenance Technician II (Electrical) position meets all the requirements of the Maintenance Technician I (Electrical) criteria. Under general supervision, the employee will perform an advanced level of assignments for electrical/mechanical repairs, installation of upgrades/modifications, and preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

Certificate or degree in the discipline of Electro-Mechanical Technologies.
2 – 5 years of experience.
Basic computer skills helpful in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Understanding of SAP helpful.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment with different personality & cultural traits.

Dependability.
Shift flexibility to assist with business needs, coverage for vacations and/or illness related absences.

Responsibilities

Interpret and conduct fault-finding activities using Electrical Schematics/Electro-Mechanical documents for all predominant OEM types.
Interpret Programmable Logic Control/PLC schematics and utilize I/O designations for fault-finding. Upload and create archives of program software with assistance.
Understand Variable Frequency Drive/VFD functional theory, perform fault-finding tasks to determine root cause, and facilitate component replacement. Upload and create archives of program software with assistance.
Navigate widely utilized Computer Numeric Control/CNC types (e.g., Fanuc & Siemens) for maintenance associated partitions (e.g., servo motor current, I/O data address status, axis position) for fault-finding and conducting select P.M. types.
Utilize Heidenhain Test Equipment (PWM 9, 21, or latest edition) to full design capacities as apply to integrated applications, and interpret test results with assistance for fault-finding and root cause assessment.
Perform calibration of equipment with 2 axis interpolation.
Interpret Hydraulic & Pneumatic power systems schematics and system integration for fault-finding, repair facilitation, and performance of P.M. events for all predominant OEM types.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Mechanical Assemblies design and integration of systems for fault-finding, repair facilitation, and performance of P.M events (e.g., bearings, ball screws, fluid pumps, and clutch systems).
