About The Position

The Maintenance Electrical Engineer position at HL Mando America Corporation in Hogansville, Georgia is responsible for planning and executing routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize unexpected downtime. This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment failures, investigating root causes of repeated failures, and implementing corrective actions. The engineer will also support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery, assist with system upgrades, and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities. Additionally, the position requires monitoring spare parts inventory, collaborating with purchasing, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth plant operations. Participation in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and HPS activities is expected, along with training operators and junior technicians on basic maintenance procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in performing hydraulic and pneumatic circuit analysis and maintenance
  • 2 years of experience in working with 3-phase power design, motor controls, circuit protection, relays, sensors, and electrical schematics
  • 1 year of experience in performing FANUC CNC program analysis and modification
  • 1 year of experience in working with industrial communication protocols, including Ethernet/IP, FL-NET, or CC-link, or performing network maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to reduce unexpected downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment failures and perform timely repairs.
  • Investigate repeated failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines.
  • Assist in system upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including downtime, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Monitor critical spare parts inventory and collaborate with purchasing to ensure availability.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support smooth plant operations.
  • Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), HPS activities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Train operators or junior technicians on basic maintenance procedures and equipment handling.
