About The Position

Lead team in achieving department and company performance goals with emphasis on accuracy/quality and safety. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and department goals that are aligned with business objectives. Establish strategies to efficiently and cost effectively maintain or increase production in conjunction with management and division priorities. Delegate and supervise multiple employees and contractors to accomplish maintenance needs as well as hands-on involvement when the need arises. Collaborate with production personnel and management to seek most efficient maintenance solutions. Communicate consistently changes, additions, completion dates and times, and cost and time estimates related to maintenance activities to management. Work with management to assist with the proper training for employees for current or future roles by assessing individual and team needs. Document maintenance activities using SAP. Communicate equipment and facility needs to the Ops Manager as needed. Demonstrate leadership skills and provide coaching, skills development, guidance and support to team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of related facility and heavy equipment maintenance experience
  • Must be able to read and understand Hydraulic & Electrical Schematics, combustion engine repair, PM, and trouble shoot electrical and hydraulic problems
  • Hands on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair abilities
  • Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
  • Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
  • Promotes collaboration and working as a member of a team
