About The Position

The Maintenance Director oversees the Community safety program, ensuring a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations. This role sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain the proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. The Director hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services. Responsibilities include mechanically repairing, replacing, and/or installing minor equipment, hardware, and controls, as well as maintaining water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and associated equipment. The role also involves maintaining community plumbing systems, completing all maintenance requests efficiently, conducting inventory of chemical supplies, and implementing safety protocols to ensure OSHA compliance. Exterior maintenance duties and fire/disaster education and drills are also part of the role. The Maintenance Director engages with residents compassionately, fostering a supportive environment that reflects the values of love, compassion, and dignity.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire

Responsibilities

  • Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
