About The Position

The Addison of West Ashley, a premier retirement community in Charleston, SC, provides quality care to residents in an ASSISTED LIVING, MEMORY CARE community. The Maintenance Director will maintain grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal. They will also maintain the inside of the building, offices, and common areas. Additionally, they will maintain and/or oversee repair of Community equipment, ensure equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use. The role involves preparing apartments for move-in and refurbishing units after move-out, and maintaining fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities
