The Retreat at Ladys Island is seeking a Facilities Director to join their team! The Facilities Director reports to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing, and leading overall facilities management operations, which may include maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and security in accordance with federal, state, local laws, and Phoenix standards, guidelines, and regulations. This role oversees minor repairs, responds to building emergencies, acts as a liaison with the Executive Director and external vendors, and monitors maintenance logs and building façade inspections. The Facilities Director also coordinates consultants and contractors for large-scale projects, oversees touch-up paint jobs, furniture refinishing, and moving. Additionally, they manage the HVAC system for air quality and temperature control, oversee fire protection system tests and documentation, review financial statements, and support the Regional Director of Facilities with technical training. The role involves overall department management, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and daily review of timekeeping and payroll. The Facilities Director attends various meetings and provides training on utility shut-offs, emergency protocols, chemical handling, housekeeping, laundry, and security procedures.
