About The Position

This position is for a full-time Maintenance Custodian at Rosemount High School, working 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role involves assisting with cafeteria duties, repairing and maintaining building systems, and general custodial tasks. The effective date of employment is ASAP, with an application deadline of October 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Candidates are required to apply online.

Requirements

Maintenance experience in a public or commercial building, including preventative maintenance and the ability to work independently.
2nd Class C boilers license required.
Hands on working experience with mechanical and electrical equipment including building automation systems.
Ability to repair grounds and custodial equipment.
Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
Must have the desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
Must have positive work performance evaluations.
Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning and maintenance assignments.
Must receive a minimum score of 50% correct on the exam.

Nice To Haves

1st Class C boilers license preferred.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with cafeteria duties 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Repair and maintain building systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, RTU's, DDC.
Assist the building and district mechanical specialists.
Maintain PRV's and roof drains, clean roof decks and cooling coils as needed or assigned.
Divide maintenance and custodial work and time as needed or assigned.
Clean building areas and move and assemble furniture, etc.
Assist with building "set-ups" and "tear-downs" as needed or assigned.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
