Requirements

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. diploma.
  • Must possess computer skills.
  • Must have a valid current Arizona driver’s license.
  • Two ( 2 ) years of vocational trade school education and/or five ( 5 ) years of experience in a construction/maintenance trade, or in a related area.
  • Must be highly safety conscious
  • Must be able to operate basic hand tools efficiently and safely.
  • Must be able to use extension and step ladders to safely reach work areas such as roofs.
  • Must be able to read and understand schematic diagrams, and line and ladder diagrams to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Must be familiar with basic plumbing codes, NFPA, Fire and Life Safety, and N.E.C. codes to complete repairs properly and within these guidelines.
  • Must be able to operate and understand the readings obtained with voltage meters, amp probes, wiggys, ohmmeters, and other various test equipment.
  • Requires the use of good judgment to follow procedures. Routine duties involve various procedures. Work may be assigned in areas of high voltage, hazardous equipment, and moving parts. Serious injuries are improbable if proper safety procedures are followed. Minor cuts, abrasions, burns, and bruises may occur.

Nice To Haves

  • Five ( 5 ) years of experience in the Maintenance, in the Healthcare setting and field is preferred.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
  • Additional Trade or Vocational School training is highly desirable.
  • Background experience in gas, electric, plumbing, and/or steam repairs a plus; must be able to perform repairs involving major mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance technicians and resident projects
  • Help oversee preventative maintenance programs and building repairs
  • Manage resident service requests and ensure exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate parts, inventory, work orders, and project follow-up
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff
  • Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and building systems
  • Ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and efficiently
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
  • Occasionally participating in a rotating shift of on call pager may be required.

Benefits

  • Pay: $28.07 - $30.88/hour (DOE)
